Borough of North Arlington Request for Proposals for Alternate Public Defender Legal Services

The Borough of North Arlington is issuing this Request for Proposals to solicit Qualification Statements from interested firms, organizations, or individuals to provide legal services as an alternate public defender. Selected respondents must demonstrate the capability, administrative readiness, and willingness to deliver high-quality, cost-effective legal services offsite under the compensation terms established by the Borough. Applicants must be onshore USA organizations. Applicants must prepare proposals at their own expense and submit one bound original copy or a digital response. Emailed submissions are preferred, but proposals may also be delivered online or to the designated contact person at 214 Ridge Road, North Arlington, NJ 07031. Submissions must include all requested information, a signed Letter of Qualification (Appendix A), and a signed Letter of Intent (Appendix B). The application deadline is December 3, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. Proposals will be evaluated by a Review Team based on reputation, experience, compliance with RFP instructions, and ability to meet the Borough's service and administrative standards.
