Resilience Understanding Service for Tree Mortality and Fire Behavior

The buyer seeks resilience understanding services under a cooperative agreement to advance priorities such as American energy dominance, critical mineral development, water security, infrastructure resilience, and natural hazard preparedness. The recipient will document spatial patterns of tree mortality and pathogen presence across their United States range, link observational mortality data with environmental variables, and assess fire behavior under various weather scenarios and treatments like tree thinning and prescribed burning. Eligibility is restricted to onshore United States organizations performing work offsite. Awardees producing or collecting geospatial data with Department of the Interior financial assistance funds must check GeoPlatform.gov, follow Federal Geospatial Data Committee standards, submit open-format GIS digital copies with complete feature-level metadata, and make all resulting data and models available for federal use and independent verification.
