Account-Based Transit Fare Collection System for Sioux Area Metro

The City of Sioux Falls seeks proposals from qualified onshore USA organizations to furnish, install, integrate, and support an account-based transit fare collection system for Sioux Area Metro. The selected contractor must supply onboard smart validators, temporary cash drop vaults, a hosted back office with automated fare capping, retail cash-loading capabilities, rider web and mobile tools, depot point-of-sale systems, and integrations with existing transit platforms. Only USA organizations may apply, and proposers must submit responses digitally via email or online, ensuring offers remain valid for 180 days. All questions must be submitted no later than November 18, 2026. The City will evaluate submittals using a 100-point scale that includes 15 points for firm experience, references, and qualifications, and 25 points for the cost proposal.
