Structural Inspections Engineering Services for Bridges and Traffic Control Device Structures

The City of Suffolk seeks responsive proposals from VDOT pre-qualified firms to provide annual engineering services for structural inspections. The scope of work encompasses structural inspections of various City-maintained bridges, inspections of traffic control device structures, and the review of overweight vehicle permits. Bridge evaluations require non-destructive evaluation methods on fatigue-prone details and fracture-critical members, as well as inspections of attached ancillary structures like overhead signs. Only onshore U.S. organizations and VDOT pre-qualified firms that comply with the City of Suffolk business license ordinance are eligible to bid.
