Broadband Engineer Service

The Washington Department of Commerce requires broadband engineer services to complete required final inspections for the state's Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program. The selected contractor must perform offsite work and full physical inspections of completed networks across all BEAD project areas within three weeks of initial notification. Scope includes visual field checks of utility poles, underground vaults, pedestals, central offices, and customer drop locations, as well as verifying physical installations against maps, as-built documentation, permits, and right-of-way approvals. This opportunity is open to onshore, USA-only organizations that satisfy the minimum qualifications and are available for work in Washington. Bidders must submit questions by October 12, 2026, and proposals are due by November 20, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Pacific Time in Olympia, WA. The estimated contract term spans four years, from December 2026 through December 31, 2030. The project uses federal funding, and the buyer will reimburse the contractor for accepted deliverables or allowable time and expenses.
