Strategic Planning Consultant Services

Shuswap Community Foundation requires a qualified consultant or firm to lead its Board of Directors and staff through a strategic planning process. The requested scope includes conducting a discovery and preparation phase, facilitating a 1-to-2 day in-person session in the Shuswap region, and developing a comprehensive 3-to-5 year Strategic Plan with actionable goals, key performance indicators, and an implementation roadmap. Performance of the offsite work must occur at the vendor's office premises. Only Canadian organizations are eligible to bid. Bidders must submit a maximum 10-page proposal in PDF format by 5:00 PM PST on November 15, 2026, via email to Executive Director Monica Sigurdson at [email protected]. The buyer evaluates proposals based on understanding of the community foundation model, philanthropic sector, regional BC context, cross-sectoral and intercultural dynamics, consultant experience and track record, quality of proposed methodology, and overall budget value. The contract timeline spans from award in December 2026 or January 2027 through final Board approval in September 2027. Bidders must supply their own itemized budget covering consulting fees, travel expenses, and administrative costs within their submitted proposals.
