Lenoir County Public Schools Request for Proposals for Wide Area Network Services

Lenoir County Public Schools is seeking proposals for a fully managed Wide Area Network (WAN) solution to provide dedicated, symmetrical transport bandwidth of 2 Gbps to each district location, scalable up to 10 Gbps per site and 40 Gbps aggregate delivered to Central Services in Kinston, NC. Bidders can propose leased lit fiber, fixed wireless, or other non-fiber technologies. Bidding is restricted to onshore USA organizations, and the resulting contract will cover 36-month or 60-month service terms starting July 1, 2027. Proposals are evaluated across eight criteria, with E-rate eligible costs carrying the highest weight (30 points), alongside submission completeness, technical capabilities, reliability, contract terms, references, and past district relationships. Vendors must submit five printed copies and one electronic copy on a USB thumb drive to the district hub by the November 19, 2026, close-of-business deadline. Clarification questions must be emailed by 12:00 PM on November 6, 2026. Submissions must include completed pricing sheets, network diagrams, timelines, and three references.
