The requested scope includes exercising isolation valves two cycles, lubricating hydrant stems per manufacturer recommendations, pressurizing hydrants with caps on to check for seal leakage, recording static pressure, verifying bottom valve closure, and reporting missing or defective caps. Additionally, the contractor must perform operational tests using a proper diffuser with a pitot gauge to verify full capacity water flow and fully open isolation valves. The vendor must also back off the opening nut after complete closure, clean and lubricate threads, check gasket conditions, re-attach nozzle caps, and complete fire hydrant repairs, replacements, and installations on an as-needed basis.
