Start-Up Grant for Gifted and Talented Program Services in Northern New Castle County

The Delaware Department of Education requests applications from eligible Northern New Castle County school districts within the Redding Consortium to establish or enhance academically advanced gifted and talented programming. Funded programs must expand equitable access to advanced instruction, support high-quality curriculum, utilize inclusive identification processes, and build sustainable district capacity. Charter schools and external organizations are not eligible to apply. Applicants must submit proposals electronically via email as a PDF attachment to [email protected] by 4:00 pm on December 10, 2026. Questions must be posted online by November 20, 2026, at 4:00 pm. The agency offers up to $415,000 for first-year planning and startup activities, with expected funding lasting up to three years contingent upon annual state appropriations.
